CoHo Fees going up up up

On 1st May 2024 fees went up. This went well, so on 1st Feb 2026
Fees for doing anything at companies house are skyrocketing again! This is because they got away with it in May 24 without a murmur so they're having another bite.
For instance, filing an Annual Return goes up up again from £34 each time to £50 - only 47% increase ( in 2024 it was up 162%)
Forming a new company from £50 to £100 a time - only 100% increase ( in 2024 it was up 317%).
Changing the name of your company was £20, new fee ?? coho have no idea 13.11.25, wottashambles.
however the premium same day name change is going up from £83 to £85
However, according to coho, getting shot of your company is going from £33 to £13 - a decrease. - i doubt this is true.
It's remarkable the Financial Press hasn't picked up on this stuff, and the size of these increases.
Of course we at Abell are upping all our fees to keep pace (just joking).
Action Points
If you need a new limited company/LLP apply before 1st February 2026
If you have a dormant company you want striking off then do it soon!
If you need to file an annual return in May/June, maybe file early on 31st Jan PS. Will coho webshite crash on 31st Jan, or maybe go offline for a maintenance update on Saturday 31st Jan? guess.....
